Look through law school catalogs and make certain that the American Bar Association has given the schools accreditation. Always pay strict attention to application deadlines and admission policies.

Take the Law School Admissions Test (L.S.A.T.). Arrange to have the Law School Data Assembly Service send the test scores and your college grades to the law schools that you have in mind. After you are accepted in law school the first half of your three years will be spent studying only general areas of law, including contracts, torts, property and constitutional law.

Find a part-time or summer internship while you are attending school to become Atlanta attorneys. Pick internships in an area of law in which you would like to specialize so that you can be one step ahead of the others.

After receiving the Juris Doctor, take Georgia's two-day written bar examination. If you have received your legal education through correspondence courses, be aware that California is the only state that will allow you to take its bar exam. Pass the bar and you have become one of the fine Atlanta attorneys.
